ABOUT US

Southwest Milam Water Supply was created in May of 1970 as a non-profit corporation, in order to provide potable water to rural Milam County. Over the years the system has grown to also provide service to members in Burleson, Lee, and Williamson counties and continues to expand. The Corporation is governed by an elected nine member Board of Directors, and operated by a full-time staff of 19 employees.

Our Infrastructure consists of over 600 miles of pipeline, which currently serves 3,834 retail connections along with a wholesale connection providing water to the City of Thorndale. These connections are all served by four large water wells in the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer formation. They have a combined production capacity of 3,650 gallons per minute. The water is delivered through 12 water plant pump stations with a combined storage capacity of over 3,000,000 gallons.

Southwest Milam Water Supply will continue to always provide the best quality water at the lowest possible cost in Central Texas.
